Hartalika Teej:- This teej falls on the third day of the first fortnight of the month of Bhadra. On this day women keep the fast for the well being of their husbands.
At the time of Teej festival some rituals and customs are performed by the women to be blessed by the Goddess Parvati. A day before the festival is celebrated as Sinjara where the women put on henna on their hands and eat sweets. Idols of Goddess Parvati are decorated and taken in a procession in the streets accompanied by singing, dancing and music. Teej is also celebrated by the Baniya and Marwari communities.
